Oppo has been dabbling in the world of augmented reality (AR) for the past two years. This morning they launched the OPPO MR Glass Developer Edition which is their first mixed reality headset. It uses a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 chip and comes with four cameras on the outside.
With a pancake-type lens, the design of the device is thinner. There are two LCD screens each with a resolution of 2160×2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) modes complete with see-through mode. One rather unique feature is that it can detect the wearer's pulse.
Like Meta Quest, MR Glass comes with two physical controls. To recharge it, it can be charged using the SuperVOOC system. No price has been announced but it will go on sale in Q3 2023.
