OnePlus has today distributed Oxygen OS 13.1 update for OnePlus 11 which offers Cellular Data Sharing, Multi-screen Connectivity, Call Sharing, Message Sharing and Auto Connect features. This feature is specifically for OnePlus Pad users, but those with two OnePlus phones can also take advantage of one of these new features.
Users can share the mobile data connection from the OnePlus 11 to other OnePlus devices as has long been supported on Samsung and iPhone devices. To use it, the same OnePlus account should be used on each device. This Cellular Data Sharing also includes Call and Message Sharing support to answer phone calls and reply to messages on the OnePlus Pad provided that each device is within 10m.
Multi-screen Connectivity is an existing feature on Oppo devices or on Realme Pads and Realme laptops. It allows users to use the OnePlus phone screen on the OnePlus Pad. For Auto Connect this feature allows users to perform tasks such as copy and paste from one device to another easily.
For now the update is distributed in stages and first to the countries that sell the OnePlus Pad. This is OnePlus' solution for their unique ecosystem. Only focus on phones and tablets because they have no plans to launch laptops in the near future.
