Prudential In Malaysia Confirms Affected By MOVEit Data Theft Attack

 

Prudential Assurance Malaysia and Prudential BSN Takaful have now confirmed which of them are among the companies affected by the MOVEit data theft attack. Prudential stated that they have informed the authorities regarding this incident.

According to Prudential, among the data affected by this attack is the possibility of agent and customer data involving names, phone numbers, identification card numbers, bank accounts, or part of a credit card.

Prudential is currently in the process of further investigation, and has isolated the server affected by this incident.

Prudential customers are asked to be careful and avoid clicking on any links in dubious emails, in addition to checking their bank and credit card statements regularly. Prudential also asks consumers who suspect their credit card has been hacked to contact the credit card issuer directly as soon as possible.
