Qualcomm Introduces Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Processing Chip With 4nm Build

 


Qualcomm has today introduced a new basic specification processing chip, under the Snapdragon 4 series, which is Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. It comes with a 4-nanometer based design and is expected to power several basic specification phones that will be present this year.



This Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip combines 2 cores with a speed of 2.2Ghz along with 6 cores with a speed of 2Ghz. The chip supports a number of the latest offerings, including UFS 3.1-based storage, in addition to LPDDR5x memory.


It will also allow the device to offer 108-megapixel camera sensor support, in addition to Quick Charge 4+ fast charging support.


Qualcomm says this chip offers 10% more speed than previous chips, in addition to more efficient use of battery power.


Smartphones using the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip are expected to come from Xiaomi, Redmi and Vivo soon.
