Last year the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 audio chip was announced with it supporting high-resolution audio and sub-20ms latency. The technology is only supported on smart devices that use Qualcomm chips. Yesterday the Qualcomm S3 Gen 2 technology will be expanded to TVs, PCs, laptops, consoles and various other devices through the use of dongles.
Support for the LE Audio Auracast standard through the use of dongles and adapters is finally provided. With this, high-resolution 24-bit 96kHz audio can be enjoyed using the bluetooth protocol through Snapdragon Sound and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive technology.
To enjoy all this, owners of dongles and adapters only need to have audio accessories that support Snapdragon Sound and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive such as Redmi AirDots 3.
