Spotify updated their app for desktop computers today. Through this new interface, the desktop and mobile applications are now more streamlined for ease of use. When playing a song, the application will show three windows. The left window is for the menu, the middle is for the playlist and the rightmost window shows more information about the artist.
Biographical information, concerts and purchasable items will be displayed in this rightmost window. Playlists can also be pinned for easy searching. Search is also refined as users can choose to search the entire Spotify catalog, saved music, podcast episodes and more.
In addition, the size of the application window can also be changed according to the user's wishes. For those who enjoy using the Friend Activity feature, it is now hidden but can be accessed by pressing the icon to the left of your personal avatar in the app.
