While Apple and Amazon have introduced HiFi audio support on their respective music streaming services, Spotify has also announced plans to do the same in 2021, but has not introduced such support until today. However, that is expected to change soon according to the latest report.
According to Bloomberg, Spotify is now planning to introduce a higher priced subscription plan that will also include HiFi audio support.
Internally, this plan is known as "Supremium", and is expected to be the most expensive plan offered by Spotify. Through it, Spotify is expected to be able to generate additional income compared to today.
Spotify is also at the same time looking at expanding the reach of audiobook offerings on their platform.
For now, the introduction date for this HiFi audio feature is still unknown. It is said that Spotify plans to introduce this plan as early as this year in some markets.
