Accessories commonly purchased by photography enthusiasts are tripods, tripods, and gimbals. But the Stockcam is an accessory that allows a digital camera to be used like a rifle. The camera is placed on top of the Stockcam and it can be held like a rifle.
There is a trigger that allows the user to "shoot" a picture. There are switches for lock, focus and Fast modes. In lock mode, the trigger cannot be pulled. There will be no incidents of photos being taken accidentally. Focus mode focuses the camera when the trigger is pulled, pull the trigger twice to take a picture. The final mode is Fast which starts video recording on the camera.
There is a Picatinny rail to place other additional accessories such as lights and microphones. A strap also allows the camera to be carried like a rifle when not in use. Cameras that can be used with Stockcam are Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, Pentax, and Sony. Stockcam will raise funds through the Indiegogo page but the price has not been announced.
