Texas Instruments Invests RM14.6 Billion For Operations In Kuala Lumpur And Melaka

 


Texas Instruments will invest RM 14.6 billion to expand their operations in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka. This was announced by the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz through his speech today.



Texas Instruments production at these two locations will begin in 2025. A total of 1,300 jobs will be created in Kuala Lumpur while another 500 will be created in Melaka. This semiconductor technology company has been based in Malaysia since 1972.


According to Tengku Zafrul, this new investment reflects Malaysia's position in the global semiconductor supply chain, while complementing our New Investment Policy and the focus of the New Industrial Master Plan to attract high-tech and high-value investments.
