The Exynos Chip Will Be Used In The Next Generation Hyundai Vehicle Inforia System

Samsung through an official statement confirmed that the new Exynos Auto V920 automotive processing chip will be used in the infotainment system of Hyundai vehicles. This means that Samsung will be the chip supplier for the inforia system in selected vehicles that are expected to be launched in 2025.

Also understood, it is the first collaboration between Samsung in the automotive semiconductor industry with Hyundai Motor. At the same time, Samsung also expressed its excitement about the collaboration and will continue to strive to create more sophisticated solutions and consistently innovate for a safer user experience.

The Exynos Auto V920 chip uses ARM's new 10 cores dedicated to autonomous driving with 1.7 times more powerful performance. In addition, it also supports LPDDR5 memory that is able to offer up to six high-resolution display options and up to 12 camera sensors that can be used to record a variety of important information.

Improvements in GPU and artificial intelligence (AI) are said to be able to help improve visual performance on the inforia system display. In addition to helping to optimize the driver's interaction with the information in the car. Also included is a brand new NPU chip that enables driver monitoring features such as voice recognition and detecting surroundings to be used better.

The Exynos Auto V920 also meets the requirements of ASIL-B (Automotive Safety Integrity Level), which Samsung says is able to detect and manage faults in real time to ensure a safer system.
