The SimpleGhar site has analyzed data from Flickr and reports that the Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera is the most popular camera in Malaysia. It is also popular in Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, and Chile. In fact this is the camera we used for several years before moving to the Sony Alpha platform.
Overall the most popular camera brand on Flickr is still the iPhone. Nearly 151 million photos were taken using Apple smartphones. Meanwhile the second most popular camera brand is Canon, followed by Nikon, Sony, Samsung, Fujifilm and Panasonic.
