Last week, we reported that Twitter seemed unwilling to pay the bill for Google Cloud services, and was trying to rush to move their services to their own hosts.
The plan does not seem to be very successful because of the delay in the transition of these functions, some of the services that the company uses seem to be shut down before the deadline of the Google Cloud service ends, and this seems to disable some of the functions of Twitter.
Bloomberg has just reported that Twitter, through their new CEO, Linda Yaccarino has improved relations with Google, and will continue to pay the bill for the Google Cloud cloud service, whose contract reportedly dates back to 2018, and has cost $200-$300 million so far.
In addition to continuing to bill Google Cloud, the two companies are also reportedly in talks to advertise on the social media platform, and Google uses Twitter's paid API.
The change of CEO from Elon Musk to Linda Yaccarino seems to help solve some of the problems that have plagued the company since it was bought by the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX. Whether Twitter will continue to move their services to their own servers is currently unknown.
