Many are already aware that Meta is developing a special application as an alternative to Twitter, and now some advanced information about it is coming to the web arena. This alternative application will be positioned under Instagram, as well as support logging in using an Instagram account.
With this step, it will synchronize user account information based on Instagram. According to the initial sharing, this app may be named as Threads.
Through an internal meeting at Meta, it was made known that many content creators and influencers want a stable platform managed by people they can trust. Twitter under Elon Musk is open to criticism, not to mention changing policies at will, and several other things on the platform.
Meta wants to overcome this through Threads, while offering users a more stable alternative. This Threads application is also expected to be integrated with the decentralized protocol, Activity Pub. This will also make it easier for users to move their accounts to other platforms if desired - while giving more freedom to users.
It is targeted that Meta may introduce this application to the public as early as this June.
