Twitter Seen Refused to Pay Google Cloud Service Bills

In an attempt to reduce Twitter's operating costs, Elon Musk seems to have done it all, reducing the number of employees, reducing the use of APIs, introducing the Twitter Blue subscription feature, not paying the building rent and most recently, the company is seen refusing to pay for the cloud services it previously subscribed to.

This includes the refusal to pay for the Google Cloud cloud service, which includes some important services such as Twitter's security system that depends on the service. This includes systems such as spam removal, account security and also the search and removal of content such as pornographic videos and child sexual abuse content on the platform.

The Google Cloud subscription contract is seen to be a multi-year contract and Twitter is said to have tried to renegotiate with Google to reduce the cost. However, the negotiations do not appear to be in Twitter's favor, and the Elon Musk-owned company will not pay the service's monthly fee, nor any other outstanding payments.

Twitter has also previously reportedly not paid Amazon Web Services server machine fees, and this has led Amazon to say that they will withhold advertising payments until outstanding payments are made.
