Twitter Wants To Focus On Video And Ecommerce To Increase Revenue

 


Twitter under the new CEO is now looking at several methods of revenue generation, other than advertising alone. Among the arenas that we want to focus on are videos and also e-commerce collaboration on the platform.


It is said that Twitter has been in discussions with several politicians and artists, as well as meeting with payment services, content publishers, media companies and so on.


Elon Musk himself has previously several times expressed his desire to develop Twitter into a "Super App" or an all-in-one application like WeChat in China.


Twitter also shared that vertical video now accounts for nearly 10% of Twitter usage time - at the same time showing the potential of video content on the platform. For Twitter Blue customers, Twitter is ready to offer the facility to upload videos of long duration, besides also looking at the introduction of live video features on the platform.
