Vivo Malaysia today reminded the public to be careful when purchasing their devices as there have been reports of fake devices being sold in Malaysia. To make it easier for people to check the authenticity of the purchased device, they can access a special page that checks the IMEI number 1.
Device owners need to go to the Vivo Malaysia IMEI check page and enter the number into the search box. If the device is genuine, complete information about the device will be displayed such as warranty period, model name and also device warranty. The opposite happens if it is a fake device.
For any assistance, Vivo customers can also call the hotline 1800-81-2836. Further confirmation and additional assistance will be provided by the customer officer. Below is a list of 24 models that have been identified as common targets for counterfeiting.
