Today, when using smartwatches based on Wear OS, one of the drawbacks is that users have to reset or reset their smartwatch when they choose to change their smartphone. This means, you have to go through the process of pairing the device back to the smartwatch, as well as resetting various things.
However, Google is now seen to be addressing that problem with the Wear OS 4 update. One of the included features is that users can switch to a new phone, but keep all the smartwatch settings – including apps and watch face settings.
This new feature has been integrated on One UI Watch 5 based on Wear OS 4 by Samsung. We may see more or less similar integrations by various other manufacturers in the near future.
