The AMD Ryzen 8000 APU processing chip series which is also named Strix Point is expected to be launched next year, and recently, there are some new details introduced about the processing chip.
The new details about this Strix Point APU chip came through the Milkyway benchmark site which is a popular site to find details about new processing chips, and it shows some details about this AMD Ryzen 8000 APU chip.
According to the site, the tested APU comes with 12 physical cores and 24 power threads which comes with four more physical cores than the recently launched Phoenix Point APU chip.
Interestingly this processing chip, although developed using new build technology, and expected to house the Navi 3.5 graphics chip as well, will support motherboards with existing AM5 sockets.
It is expected that this Strix Point APU will power a new series of thin and light gaming laptops when it launches next year.
