Apple App Store Requires Application Name With At Least Two Letters

Twitter has started branding to X, including on the web as well as apps. For Android users, Twitter is already listed as X on the Google Play Store, however on the Apple App Store, it is still listed as Twitter.

This is because of the Apple App Store policy that requires listing applications with at least two letters in their name. It is not yet known how Twitter or X will cope with this move.

Could it be that we will see names like “X – (Formerly Twitter)”; or “X – All-in-One Application” in the app's naming in an attempt to get a listing on the Apple App Store also using the X name? Or are we going to see Apple give an exception to the X party?
