ASUS ROG STRIX SCAR 17 X3D Is The First Gaming Laptop With AMD 3D V-Cache CPU


 Along with the announcement of the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D laptop processing chip, ASUS also introduced their latest gaming laptop, the ASUS ROG STRIX SCAR 17 X3D.


The ROG STRIX SCAR laptop series is well known among gamers as a very powerful laptop model, and this latest laptop is seen as their latest iteration.



Starting with the screen display, this laptop is equipped with a 17.3-inch IPS display with a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution that has a 240Hz refresh rate and the ability to process 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.


This laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D processing chip that has 16 physical cores, 32 power threads and has a Boost Clock speed as high as 5.4GHz. It is also paired with 32GB of DDR5 memory and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 internal storage.



In terms of graphics card offerings, it is powered by only one graphics card model, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with 16GB of GDDR6 memory that is powerful enough to run all modern games at the native resolution and refresh rate of this laptop.


In terms of plug support, it comes with two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C plugs, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A plugs, one HDMI 2.1 plug and one 2.5Gbps RJ-45 plug. For those of you who want to use a WiFi connection, it also comes with support for the latest WiFi6E connection if you have a router with support for that connection.



ASUS confirmed that this laptop will go on sale in some selected markets from August 22, but for now we still don't know if ASUS Malaysia will bring in this laptop or not.
