BlueSky Suspends New Registrations After Twitter Trouble Increases User Count

Twitter faced a problem last weekend that caused the number of daily reads to be limited to around 600 per day. The move came after Elon Musk said user data was stolen without permission by a third party. This makes Twitter almost impossible to use because the chat is inaccessible. Because of this, new account registrations on BlueSky increased dramatically.

BlueSky which is an alternative to Twitter by Jack Dorsey is still in Beta stage and you need an invitation before you can register. Even so, the number of new users has caused disruption to services that are not ready to bear the sudden increase in traffic.
