China Introduces Open Source Based Computer Operating System – OpenKylin

China has now introduced an open source operating system for the desktop, named OpenKylin. It is developed based on the Linux system by a community involving around 4000 developers.

China's move to focus on its own operating system comes in an effort to reduce dependence on the United States - not to mention the trade war between the two countries.

In addition to this OpenKylin offering, there is also the development of other operating systems in China that want to replace the use of the Windows system.

OpenKylin uses Linux Kernel 6.1, and offers a more or less Windows-like interface – and even comes with its own “Start” menu. In addition, it also comes with built-in software such as Mozilla Firefox, WPS Office, and other applications.

For those of you who are interested, you can check this OpenKylin offer today on the official site, and try it yourself on your own computer.
