Corsair today made a surprise and announced that they have taken over one of the companies focusing on computer hardware especially mechanical keyboards, which is Drop.
The takeover price was not disclosed. With this acquisition, Corsair is seen continuing to complete its portfolio of accessories and computer hardware offerings, while for Drop it will receive access to global marketing that Corsair already owns.
Corsair stated that Drop will continue to operate under its own brand, and continue to offer their products. For information, previously Corsair had also taken over Elgato, and it still operates independently with its own brand to this day.
