DJI Air is a premium mid-range drone series as an alternative to the Mavic series which usually costs twice as much. DJI Air 3 is said to be the latest model that will be launched soon as a successor to DJI Air 2 (2020) and Air 2S with a 1″ sensor camera (2021).
Based on the official mockup images leaked by WinFuture, the DJI Air 3 will come with a dual-camera system. However the source did not reveal what sensor was used. Based on the design it looks similar to the Mavic 3 (2021) which uses a 20MP wide angle sensor and a telephoto sensor but without the Hasselblad branding.
The battery is said to be 4241mAh which is 30% larger than the Air 2. Each purchase of the DJI Air 3 will also come with the new DJI RC-N2 controller which has a built-in screen, analog buttons and antenna. No single drone package will be sold but there will be bundles offered such as an extra battery package and with the old DJI RC-2 controller.
For now the launch date has not been confirmed yet. But WinFuture has reported the selling price in the European market which is;
DJI Air 3 + RC-N2 controller – £962 (~RM5,681)
DJI Air 3 Fly More Combo with RC-2 controller – £1199 (~RM7,081)
DJI Air 3 Fly More Combo with RC-N2 controller – £1379 (~RM8,144)
