The blockchain arena has been receiving a lot of attention for the past year or two. However, platform providers such as Google and Apple are still cautious, and have only introduced limited support before.
Google has offered support for blockchain-based apps on the Play Store before, but it was offered in a limited and incomplete manner. Google offers support for the blockchain arena in stages, and today, they announced support for digital asset offerings like NFTs through the Play Store.
With this move, apps and games that offer digital assets such as NFTs will be allowed to be published on the Play Store. Regardless, application developers still need to follow the rules set to avoid abuse of NFTs and so on. In fact, for the beginning, Google has only activated the support of this NFT offering for a limited number of developers.
