Grab Tests "Live Activities" Notification Feature on iPhone

Live Activities is a notification feature introduced in iOS 16. This feature allows application notifications to be delivered in real time on the locked screen. For example, tracking the location of an Uber called. Until today most apps still don't support it but last night I noticed that the Grab app has activated this feature in Malaysia.

Grab's Live Activities notification provides an estimate of when the order will arrive with a graphic of a motor in the middle of the road and then tells the actual time of the order's arrival as it gets closer to the destination. It is quite interesting to see this feature activated because it can avoid the issue of not having the food already arrived because the Grab application does not open on the iPhone.

This feature is only shown on iOS 17 Beta users. For now it is still uncertain when this feature will be distributed to everyone. Most likely around September when iOS 17 is available to all.
