Huawei Will Return to Release 5G Devices at the End of the Year

Since the imposition of technology restrictions by the United States, Huawei can only manufacture 4G phones because the components for 5G contain technologies that are no longer accessible. According to a Reuters report, Huawei will return to offering 5G devices by the end of 2023.

A research firm predicts this will happen based on de-identified supply chain information. This is done through a 5G chip produced by SMIC which is a company based in China. The chip is also designed by Huawei itself with self-designed technology to bypass any US barriers.

Since the technology barriers were imposed on Huawei, they dropped out of the list of the world's five largest smartphone manufacturers, while once almost overtaking Apple in second place. Challenges cause Huawei to enter the automated arena to continue business.
