Intel Raptor Lake Refresh Processing Chip Series Expected To Be Introduced This October

Previously it was confirmed that the series of 14th generation processing chips that Intel will introduce at the end of this year is Raptor Lake Refresh, and not Meteor Lake as previously thought.

Known details about the Raptor Lake Refresh are the increased IPC rate and an update in terms of the build process used to manufacture this processing chip.

Recently, information about the launch date of this processing chip seems to have been leaked to the web arena through an information leaker from China, namely Enthusiast Citizen.

For the launch, it seems that we will show the normal processing chip series first, while the overclockable processing chip series, namely Intel's 14th generation K series will only be shown early next year, most likely during the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas.

Interestingly, a new series of motherboards will also be shown, including the Z890, B860 and H810. In terms of technology, it is expected that this motherboard will be the first in the series to support WiFi7 technology and have more PCIe 4.0 lanes than the Z790 motherboard.

What is not known at the moment is the CPU socket support, whether it will use the previous LGA1700/1800 socket, or the LGA 1851 that should be introduced with the Intel Meteor Lake processing chip.
