Japan Wants to Try Beaming Solar Energy From Space to Earth by 2025

Japan now aims to beam solar energy from space to Earth as early as 2025, as an effort to expand the use of sustainable energy. Japan is expected to achieve this through the cooperation of private and public companies.

To make this happen, several small satellites will be launched into orbit, where they will then collect solar energy, and then transmit that energy to a station located on Earth. Microwave technology and solar panels will be used for this purpose.

Unlike the use of solar panels on Earth, when they are placed in space, then energy can be collected all the time, including not having to worry about cloud interference, the rotation of the earth and so on. For information, through the sharing of authorities in Malaysia, it is estimated that on average solar energy collection only occurs for four hours a day in Malaysia.

When solar panels are placed in space, then energy will be collected all the time, and the renewable energy can be emitted for use on Earth.

In addition to Japan, several countries are also looking at the same arena, including China, Europe and even the United States.
