The world's most powerful passport index by Henley was published this week. Malaysia's passport rose to the 11th most powerful in the world this year compared to 13th in 2022. Malaysian passport holders are allowed to travel to 180 countries without the need for a visa.
This is Malaysia's best position since 2018 where the national passport was ranked 10th. The most powerful passport in the world is now Singapore which succeeded in taking over Japan's position last year which has now fallen to the 3rd place. Singaporean passport holders can travel to 192 destinations without the need for a visa.
