Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has now shared his hopes for the newly launched Threads social service, saying it could be the next social site under Meta to reach 1 billion users.
Today, Threads already has over 100 million registered users. However, until now, Meta has not yet promoted it through Instagram or Facebook widely – which may lead to a more drastic increase in user numbers in the future.
Mark Zuckerberg also said he finds it strange that no text-based application like Threads has reached 1 billion users so far. Twitter itself is still far from reaching the figure even though it has been operating for so long.
For now, Threads still lacks some popular features – including a web-based application for desktop access. With various positive developments, including the problems plaguing Twitter, it is not impossible that we will see Threads successfully reach that number in the near future.
