For the past few days, there has been a fake news spread on social media, stating that Tesla recorded more than 10,000 orders for the Tesla Model Y in just four days since the order opened. However, the matter is fake news, and not true.
This was confirmed by Tesla Malaysia to us. Tesla also emphasized that they will not release any order numbers to the public.
Tesla Model Y was officially launched in Malaysia today, also witnessing Tesla's official entry into the Malaysian market. Tesla Model Y is offered at a price of RM199,000 in Malaysia and is expected to be available in early 2024. Interested local users can make a reservation on Tesla's official website with a reservation fee of RM1000.
