Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today held a virtual meeting with Elon Musk, while discussing several matters involving Tesla and SpaceX for the Malaysian market. According to the Prime Minister, Malaysia welcomes Tesla's investment decision in Malaysia.
In parallel, Tesla will open a headquarters in Selangor this year. In addition, Tesla Service Centers and Experience Centers will also be opened in Selangor this year.
Malaysia welcomes Tesla's entry into the Malaysian market, in line with Malaysia's commitment to net zero carbon by 2050.
In addition, the Prime Minister also discussed offering internet services via satellite under Starlink for the local market, which will benefit the rural areas.
