ASUS has recently introduced a new software update for the ROG Ally console that appears to come with some improvements for the console, although for now, it is still unrelated to the issue of the card reader being damaged due to high temperatures.
This new BIOS update brings improvements such as saving the power supply settings to the GPU component, where before it would be reset to the original every time an update like this is installed. Meanwhile, ROG Ally's display brightness value can also be set as low as 10 nits, compared to the previous 25 nits for those who prefer to play games in the dark.
ROG Ally also comes with different power settings that can be used to reduce the heat of this console. With this latest update, the power supply connection to the console from the USB cable can be set at the 30W limit if your console is operated at a power level of 30W. It will no longer consume high power if one uses a charger with a charging level such as 60W.
