Samsung today is ready to market the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series as premium devices that include foldable screen technology. Although the Galaxy Z Flip series is cheaper, the new model still costs more than RM4,000.
Samsung aims to change that by coming up with a foldable phone option at a more affordable price. This might work like the Galaxy A series which brings a limited number of functions from the Galaxy S series. So, we might see the introduction of a “Galaxy A” for foldable phones.
Samsung did not say when it will introduce it. However, according to independent analysts, Samsung is expected to come up with such an offering as early as 2025 – while continuing to expand its market share in the foldable phone arena.
Samsung's new partnership comes alongside the launch of the new Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5.
