Samsung Display has now filed a lawsuit against China-based manufacturer of display panels and screens for mobile devices, namely BOE Technology. Samsung filed this suit alleging that BOE infringed on five Samsung patents, involving OLED displays.
The OLED panel market is led by Samsung Display today, with BOE currently ranking second in the same industry. LG Display is ranked below them.
Apple iPhone 12
Samsung in their lawsuit filing in the United States, stated that the BOE's move to infringe on five of Samsung's patents led to losses for them. This BOE display panel is also used on Apple devices, namely the iPhone 12.
