Recently, it has been reported that a smuggler tried to smuggle in a large amount of M.2 SSD storage by attaching 420 pieces of storage around his body, but the attempt was thwarted by Chinese customs officials.
HKEPC reported that the individual tried to smuggle this M.2 SSD storage, estimated to be worth around $32,984 (RM154 thousand) from Macau to Zhuhai via Gongbei Port, which is also said to be one of the routes often used for the purpose of smuggling certain products .
The smuggling syndicate of electronic components and equipment is a big industry in China especially because it is now quite difficult to get new components in the country.
