Telegram today shared that there are now over 800 million monthly active users using their messaging service. This figure was successfully achieved with over 2.5 million registrations happening almost every day on the platform.
In order to ensure that its operations continue to run smoothly, Telegram stated that they have raised $270 million in funds through the sale of bonds for Telegram. The founder himself has bought around 25% of this new Telegram bond.
In addition, Telegram also stated that they are getting closer to achieving profitability, faster and better compared to their competitors such as Twitter and Snap. Telegram claims this has been achieved in just two years since they introduced several methods of generating revenue – including advertising and selling Telegram Premium subscriptions.
For this month alone, Telegram is expected to introduce several new features, including one of which is Telegram Stories – which allows users to share missing photos, videos and texts within 24 hours like some other social providers.
