Tesla Awaits Permits And Licenses Before Activating Tesla Supercharger

Today, Tesla has officially entered the Malaysian market, and introduced the first car model for the local market, the Tesla Model Y. It is offered at a starting price of RM199,000 in Malaysia, and is expected to be marketed from early 2024.

Parallel to the introduction of Tesla vehicles, Tesla also announced the introduction of the Tesla Supercharger for the local market. This fast charging offers the ability to use as far as 120km in just 5 minutes of charging time.

However, this offer is not yet active for now. Tesla has already developed around 8 chargers based in Pavilion KL, but they have not been activated yet. This is because Tesla is still waiting for permission from the authorities and obtaining the proper license before it is activated.

Apart from Pavilion KL, Tesla is also planning to develop Tesla Superchargers in other locations – thus making it easier for users to roam from Singapore to Thailand, without any problems.
