Tesla Offers FSD Self-Driving System To Other Manufacturers

The Full Self Driving (FSD) system is offered as an option to Tesla car buyers. In Malaysia, for example, FHD is sold at a price of RM32,000. In a financial report this morning, Elon Musk said Tesla will offer FSD to other interested manufacturers.

At this time Tesla is in discussions with several interested companies. Although marketed as a fully self-driving system, the reality is that FSD still requires the driver to hold the steering wheel when it operates. Its ability to operate is better on the highway than in urban areas. In a Handelsblatt website report last May, Tesla was accused of hiding accidents involving FSD since it was launched. Tesla has denied this claim.

Mercedes, Toyota, Hyundai and Waymo are among the companies developing their own self-driving systems. Waymo for example has been allowed to offer a fully self-driving taxi system without human drivers in San Francisco. The future of humans just being passengers in AI-driven vehicles is becoming a reality.
