A device that can be seen all over Malaysia during the pandemic is a head temperature scanner. You will not be allowed to enter any premises if your body temperature is detected above the normal temperature. Many are beginning to feel that the pandemic is over and since temperature taking is no longer mandatory, thousands of temperature scanners are now electronic waste.
At One Utama shopping centre, these temperature scanning machines have been recycled into works of art. The two Teetbots robot sculptures were produced using 70 now defunct temperature scanners. It is part of One Utama's ESG efforts to reuse waste materials.
If you want to see the Teetbots for yourself, these two robots are on display at One Utama near the Next Gen kid friendly park located in the newest wing of the mall.
