Threads are Meta's answer to Twitter. The app is expected to launch this month and in the past few days more details have been revealed as a Threads listing appeared on the Play Store for a while. Recently the APK file of this application was also leaked.
I tried to install this application on an Android 13 device and found that users can still log in with their Instagram account if Instagram is already installed and active. Apart from that the option to change accounts is also given which suggests that one application can use multiple accounts.
Threads also still can't be used because when I log in with an Instagram account, the system doesn't allow it and asks me to use another approved account. According to Alessandro Paluzzi who leaked information about Threads, this application may only be accessible to those who are invited in advance.
In the Play Store this application is seen listed as an application under Instagram. It was developed as a place for community discussions, users can follow each other, keep in touch with favorite content creators or even build their own social media profiles.
