After two days of launch, Threads now has 70 million registered users. This is an increase of 20 million compared to 50 million on the first day. A figure that can be proud of when considering that Threads has not yet been launched in European Union (EU) countries due to laws involving the use of personal data.
In terms of features Threads has the advantage of not requiring a new account and Instagram users can use it directly. For celebrities, they do not need to go through the identity verification process again because it is imported from Instagram data. It is still too early to say that Threads can replace Twitter but in just two days the number of users is already more than 1/5 of the number of Twitter users.
