All commodity prices have risen recently due to the drop in the value of the Ringgit and uncontrollable economic factors due to the handling of the pandemic. To Tidal customers, the streaming platform will start increasing subscription prices in some markets starting August 1, 2023.
Customers in the United States, Slovakia, UK, Germany, Spain and Argentina began receiving emails about the price increase. In the US for example the Tidal HiFi subscription increased from $9.99 to $10.99. The steps taken by No are similar to what Apple has done through Apple Music/iCloud subscriptions, and Netflix.
