TikTok entered the music streaming era with the launch of TikTok Music in Indonesia and Brazil. This latest platform has music content from several publishing giants such as Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony Music.
TikTok Music users can access lyrics, dance to lyrics, create playlists, listen to music that goes viral on TikTok, and listen to music offline after it's downloaded to the device. Another unique feature is the social aspect where users can leave comments and share favorite music with other TikTok Music users.
This service replaces the Resso streaming application that was previously offered by Bytedance also in Indonesia and Brazil. Resso will be terminated on this 5th. TikTok Music has yet to announce whether their service will also be available to users outside of these two markets.
