Twitter Sends Letter To Meta, Hints Of Possible Sue Over Threads App

Less than 24 hours since the launch of the Threads application, now it seems that Twitter is not very happy with Meta's latest offering. Twitter is seen to have sent a letter to Meta, giving an early indication of the possibility of taking legal action against Meta over the launch of Threads.

Through the letter sent by Twitter, they accused Meta of hiring some former Twitter employees who had access to the internal secrets of the Twitter company, and developing the Threads application. The letter also states that Twitter has various rights, including to take legal action.

Touching on this briefly through Threads, Meta stated that none of the Threads engineers are ex-Twitter employees.

In fact, as many are aware, Elon Musk himself has fired many Twitter employees, which may be the norm for them to find new work locations to continue their careers. However, it is not known whether it is true or not that Meta uses internal secrets to develop and accelerate the development of Threads or vice versa.

Threads is one of the latest platforms developed by Meta and operates under Instagram. It offers Twitter-like usage, and managed to record high usage figures in less than 24 hours of launch.

Many users were previously looking for an alternative platform to Twitter because they did not like the management method of Elon Musk who made various changes suddenly, including restricting the use of the platform completely as before. In addition to Threads, there are also several other platforms such as Mastodon and Bluesky that have been in the spotlight lately.
