The community feature on WhatsApp has provided users with the ability to connect a number of related groups under one roof. This simultaneously reduces complexity in management and makes it easier for community members to stay connected in groups that are important to them.
In an effort to make it more secure, WhatsApp now comes with a new privacy feature that allows community members to hide phone numbers. This feature called Phone Number Privacy will ensure that the user's phone number is always hidden from other unknown community members. This includes when they interact either using any message or reaction.
As usual, the list of community members' numbers is already hidden, but when users start interacting, this is where the phone number is revealed. This can be overcome with the new privacy feature regarding how to hide the phone number at all times through the settings provided.
However, it should be noted that this feature is only limited to anonymous community members. Where your number can still be seen by community admins and contacts who have saved your phone number. Another thing to note is that the administrator's phone number will always be visible to all community members.
