YouTube Tests Badge Collecting Capability For Premium Subscribers


 YouTube has been testing new features on their platform lately. Recently AdBlock users were limited to watching only three videos and also tested their ability to play online video games. Recently they tested the ability to collect badges for YouTube Premium subscribers.



There is no benefit to collecting each of these badges other than to share with friends on social media the statistical achievements of their respective YouTube Premium usage.


Previously, YouTube Premium usage statistics were already displayed in the YouTube Premium benefits section, such as the number of hours of video watched ad-free, the number of hours of video played in the background, the number of hours listening to YouTube music and the number of videos downloaded offline.



Only recently each achievement has had a special badge. For now the ability to collect badges is limited to users in selected countries only and it is not certain if it will be offered to Malaysia. Here are the badges that can be collected;
