YouTube Tests Screen Lock Feature To Avoid Distractions While Watching Videos

I'm sure I'm not the only one who experiences various stress problems while watching videos on YouTube. Sometimes I accidentally fast-forward a video 10 seconds, get pushed to another video and sometimes the language changes. To ensure that this accidental touch problem does not occur, YouTube Premium is now testing the Lock Screen feature preventing users from touching the screen.

This feature also does not allow users to activate closed captions, settings, etc. To return to using YouTube as usual, users need to touch the screen and press "Tap to unlock".

Currently this screen lock feature is limited to Android and iOS users who subscribe to YouTube Premium only. It is also just a test feature that will be offered until August 5 only at this time.
