AMD Introduces Dedicated Ryzen Processing Chip For Lenovo Riba Computers

 


AMD recently introduced the AMD Ryzen 7040 APU processing chip series for laptops, which come with even more powerful computing and graphics performance.


Lenovo was also recently seen to have introduced the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Gen 8 laptop series with a 14-inch display and housing the latest AMD Ryzen 7040 APU processing chip.



What is unique about this laptop model is the processing chip it offers. Users may choose to get a model with an AMD Ryzen 5 7640S or AMD Ryzen 7 7840S APU.


What's unique about these two processing chips is the presence of a new model number, namely the Ryzen S, which is built based on the AMD Ryzen 7040U processing chip using the FP8 processing chip package which is seen to come with more features.



In summary, this new processing chip offering allows Lenovo to take advantage of additional features as well as more efficient processing power on their new laptops.


Additional specifications of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Gen 8 laptop include a 13-inch OLED screen display with 3K resolution (2944×1840) with a refresh rate of 90Hz and support for HDR500 technology.



Depending on the choice of model, it is also equipped with up to 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and a choice of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage of up to 1TB.
